Thai Tea Matcha Latte

Thai Tea Matcha Latte

Echa Selections

If you love the rich, nostalgic flavour of Thai iced tea but also can’t resist a good matcha, this Thai Tea Syrup is the secret to the best fusion drink ever: Thai Tea Matcha. It brings that classic creamy, spiced, orange-tinged depth and pairs it with the grassy brightness of matcha for a layered drink that’s bold, refreshing, and totally addictive.

THAI TEA SYRUP (6 Servings):

15 g ChaTraMue Thai Tea Leaves

100 g Water

100 g Sugar

Instructions

  1. In a small pot, bring water and sugar to a gentle simmer.
  2. Add the Thai tea mix. Stir, then let it steep with a cover for 5 minutes.
  3. Strain through a fine mesh sieve or coffee filter.
  4. Use as a flavoured sweetener in any drink recipe!
  5. Store in fridge for up to two weeks.

THAI TEA MATCHA LATTE (1 Serving):

30 g Thai Tea Syrup

8 oz Milk of Choice

3 g Echa Ceremonial Matcha

30 g Hot Water (75-80°C)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your glass: 30g of Thai Tea Syrup to the bottom of your cup. Fill the cup with ice.
  2. Add milk: Pour your milk of choice over the ice, leaving room at the top for the matcha layer.
  3. Whisk the matcha: In a separate bowl, sift 1–2 tsp of Echa's Ceremonial Matcha. Add hot water (not boiling, ~75-80°C/175°F). Whisk until smooth and frothy.
  4. Layer the drink: Slowly pour the whisked matcha over the milk to create a clean two-tone effect.
  5. Serve: Stir before drinking, or enjoy the layers as they blend naturally.

Uncover the ritual and enjoy!
